Hello! I’m Lyndsey.

Lyndsey Stough, Assoc. AIA, is a project manager at Stough & Stough Architects with 15+ years experience guiding leaders through the risky and convoluted building process. Specializing in feasibility and schematic design, Lyndsey uses that experience to empower others to make confident, informed decisions at the time it matters most — the beginning. From there, she works closely with clients to tailor a path and team specifically for the determined key results.

By focusing on bridging the gap between leaders and their dream project, Lyndsey has been able to put the M.Arch degree from UofM and B.S. Arch degree from OSU to good use. Over the years, her strengths at Stough & Stough Architects has garnered some recognition for design solutions and involvement in the community. Lyndsey may spend her days navigating the many steps required for successful projects, but it’s the dream of contributing to a happier and healthier hometown that gets her up in the morning.

  • Lyndsey Stough is an occasional adventurer and sampler enthusiast living in Sylvania, Ohio. Born and raised in the area, she is proud to stay in northwest Ohio and to call it home.

In between work and community involvement, she enjoys singing while playing the ukulele, crocheting large-scale sculptural containers, riding her vespa (the “Red Dragon”), soaking in hot saunas followed by cold plunges, and sunset golf with friends during the summer.

  • Being a family firm, Lyndsey has assisted in many capacities since a young age. Starting with mowing the lawn during middle school, to helping organize record drawings during college summers, then interning and shadowing after graduation, finally moving up to project management as her skills and knowledge grew.

During her time at the firm, Lyndsey has contributed youthful energy and ideas to the firm’s long history of expertise and reliability for on-time and on-schedule projects. As the third generation, Lyndsey is updating systems, refining work flows, and targeting a niche she passionately believes makes an ongoing impact on the region.

Lyndsey is grateful and honored to have the opportunity to expand on the legacy of building community started by her grandfather and father.

  • Hello! My name is Lyndsey, and this is a subject dear to my heart. Let me share with you why.

My first big investment was my home. I can still remember the thrill of taking my next life step, but also the fear of the unknown. Even though I’d just graduated with a Masters in Architecture, investing in the built environment was still intimidating.

Looking back, I’m so glad I started the adventure. By surrounding myself with caring experts, they ensured my risk was minimized and I was on the best path for me.

That investment enabled me to make other investments to build wealth and strengthen my community. Since buying my first home in 2014, I’ve created supplemental income and neighborhood benefits by renting Airbnb guest rooms, hosting fundraisers for non-profits, and featuring a “living room concert” with a national musician between acts.

The success of leveraging my residential investment gave me confidence to embark on new, even bigger investments. Now I’m in process of updating my Main Street home’s basement into a usable, flexible living space to rent as a unit on airbnb or for long-term tenants.

Next (and next door), I’ll be developing a mixed-use building containing a first floor commercial unit with two apartments above in my hometown’s central business district.

I’m setting myself up for long-term wealth by creating opportunities for passive income and adding value in the same neighborhood as my other investment. Simultaneously, I’m also enriching my community with this infill project aligning with the city’s masterplan and market analysis.

In addition to my personal investments, I’ve also empowered others to make impactful investments, too. With a decade of building design experience, architectural and incremental development wisdom, and passion for Northwest Ohio, I am the leading consultant for leaders in the Greater Toledo area.
